PowerCheck is a simple application that determines whether another application has been optimized for PowerPC. In order to be considered optimized, an application must have a 'cfrg' resource which points the Mixed Mode Manager to the location of the PowerPC native code. PowerCheck looks for this resource and plays a sound if it is present.
You can change the sound PowerCheck plays by using Resedit to change PowerCheck's 'snd ' resource. It doesn't matter what resource ID your sound has, but you MUST NAME THE RESOURCE "NativeLaunchSound".
